“I know that I know nothing” - but I imagine
An Italian painter with a humanistic studies background Silvana Abram’s artistic education took its first steps at the Trento Visual Arts Workshop - directed by Prof. Mariano Fracalossi - where she learned how to create colors out of earths and pigments. She later graduated at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Trento in Archaeology and History of Greek-Roman Arts–Prof. Mariette Raijmakers De Vos.
Her academic studies of Graeco-Roman arts played a key role in completing her aesthetic vision of the world. Particularly important has been the study of Pompeian painting style for both the plastic possibilities of the image, of the portrait and the connection between colours, light and space: on this painting style Silvana Abram’s bases her artistic roots. Her research has been influenced by the Masters of American abstractionism, abstract impressionism and pop art, with their inquisitive gazing, sometimes playfully, at life in its manifold aspects.
Philosophy Counselor, she painstakingly focus on the Image aesthetics, the creative, perceptive and ethic implications and in particular both the inner and physical sensibility also through the accomplishment of artistic activity as well. Silvana Abram’s artistic and existential proposal, being characterized by aesthetic freedom, includes also her published poetry which matured in the academic milieu.

• 25th EDITION OF “PREMIO ITALIA PER LE ARTI VISIVE 2010: The prizewinning painting “Migration of People” was on show at “Galleria del Candelaio”, Florence - September 23 thru October 4, 2010. Event sponsored by the Art Magazine “Eco d’Arte Moderna”.
• Her work “Moments of every-day life” was selected for the 1st International Prize for painting, sculpture and graphic, City of New York. Review by the Lady Prof. Anna Francesca Biondolillo, Art critic, “Artistic expression abounding in narrative developments from which stands out the significance of her message and the communication desire of great visual impact”; This work was published by the Rivista dell’Arte “Boé”(January-February 2010) and displayed at the Gallery “Arte Città Amica” in Turin.

• From 10 to 16 December 2009 she participated in the artistic-literary exposition "L’immagine. Identità delle parole, at the Limonaia, Villa Vogel, Florence, on behalf of the ART GALLERY ARTPOINT FLORENCE.
• From 17 to 19 October 2009 she participated in the 5th edition of the FIERA D’ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA AT LONGARONE (CORTINA D’AMPEZZO). One of her paintings was listed in the catalogue.
• Green time and Tuffo nell’estate (Jewels series) were on display at the “Colori di fine estate” exhibition being put up by at Casa Tani, Rovereto in September 2009.
• Two paintings, namely Energy and Sh’is a Star were on display at the futurism-oriented International Exhibition “Arte alle Stelle” which was held at Casa Tani, Rovereto in August 2009.
• In 2008 “The power of colours” exhibition was held in Trento at the Palazzo della Regione del Trentino Alto Adige “Nature and/of Sentiment “ is the title of her one-woman show held in 2007 at the above-mentioned venue.
